Over the past year or so, pretty much everyone who's looked for a job has told me the same thing: The job market is brutal right now. By all the standard measures, the job market is doing just fine. And what the numbers show is a two-tier job market — one divided between a blue-collar boom and a white-collar recession. Now, you could argue that a slowdown in white-collar hiring doesn't really matter in the current economy, even for white-collar workers. And the longer the white-collar hiring lull continues, he warns, the more the resentment will build.

"We set out to do something unprecedented and we're doing something unprecedented, and we will deliver something that's unprecedented." However, momentum from AI services will keep Azure growth stabilized at these high levels, outperforming the market's expectations. AI services continue to be a large source of revenue growth, contributing seven percentage points of growth. The Office Commercial Products and Cloud Services revenue rose 12%, while the Office Consumer Products and Cloud Services revenue grew 4%. Windows Commercial Products and Cloud Services revenue increased 12%, driven by demand for Windows 365. The company guided Azure's constant currency revenue growth to 30% to 31%, which is higher than estimates of 29%.

Solar panels stand at the Welspun Energy solar power plant in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, India. One sector in particular — electrical power transmission — will see $270 billion in financial benefits, according to Goldman Sachs. While utilities like the Power Grid Corporation of India may be perceived as unsexy, compared to growth stocks like Tesla, India plans to promote renewable energy without the taxpayer spending a single rupee. The country has added about 70 gigawatts of solar power capacity over the past decade without piling on further costs by simply maximizing the grid's usage. Currently, state governments in India levy surcharges and taxes on every unit of carbon-intensive energy transmitted through the grid.
